The automated system performs same-day susceptibility testing (with results in as little as 5 hours, supported by clinical trial data). This significantly improves veterinary laboratory workflow and optimizes clinical veterinary microbiology.
The VITEK 2 system offers a comprehensive range of the most important susceptibility tests for veterinary diagnostics and is characterized by high performance and the ability to detect even low-level resistance and emerging resistance mechanisms (AmpC, ESBL, MBL, etc.).
The software is also updated annually to incorporate any taxonomy developments or policy changes.
The VITEK 2 disposable cards are sealed to prevent contamination during the bacterial suspension filling process.
