The DBG series drill grinder is used for grinding twist drills made of
HSS and carbide twist drills. The machine has integrated grinding stations for grinding the point angle, the clearance angle and for cross grinding.

Special CBN or SDC diamond grinding wheels are used, which are to be used depending on the drill material.

CBN coated grinding wheels
Deliver sensational sharpening results at very high speed and without annealing. The special thermal conductivity of CBN (boronite crystals) dissipates the resulting frictional heat into the wheel, preventing hardening of the cutting edge and virtually eliminating sparking. CBN has a higher thermal stability than diamond and is ideal for sharpening HSS tools due to lower wear.
