The Deckel FP 2 LB universal milling machine is characterized by its extremely stable base frame and is designed as a traveling column machine. This means that the machine maintains its precision even when machining heavy workpieces weighing up to 1000 kg.

Another feature is the 45-degree inclined bed. After removing the universal table, this design allows for the direct clamping and machining of V-engine blocks with a 90-degree cylinder angle, such as those found in American V8 engines.

The long travel of 800 mm is also advantageous in this application.
