Recycling plant for plastic windows with granulate output (12 mm / 40 mm)
The recycling plant is designed as a modular processing line for the treatment of dismantled plastic windows. The aim of the plant is the efficient shredding, separation, and classification of material into reusable plastic granulate of defined grain sizes (approx. 12 mm or 40 mm).
The plant consists of the following main components:

1. Feeding and infeed system
The input material (plastic windows including attachments such as gaskets, metal fittings, and contaminants) is manually fed via a designated loading area.
2. Pre-shredding (Shredder)
A powerful four-shaft shredder carries out the coarse shredding of window frames. The objective is to reduce bulky components to a manageable format and prepare the material for subsequent processing stages.
3. Conveyor technology
Several conveyor belts link the individual process stages. They ensure a consistent material flow and optionally allow for manual visual inspection or re-sorting.
4. Metal separation
To remove metallic components (e.g. steel reinforcements, screws, fittings), a magnetic separator is installed. This is designed as an overband magnet and reliably removes ferrous metals from the material stream.
5. Screening unit (Classification)
The shredded material is passed through a screening unit, which separates particles according to grain size. Depending on the installed screen deck, defined fractions are produced, for example:
• approx. 12 mm granulate (fine)
• approx. 40 mm granulate (coarse)
6. Cleaning / Removal of impurities
Light contaminants (dust, gasket residues, foreign materials) are removed by mechanical or air separation processes, which improves the quality of the final granulate.
7. Discharge and storage
The finished granulate is discharged via conveyor belts into Big Bags.
