The Hydro 2000S module can circulate from 50 ml to 150 ml of liquid. Variable pump/mixer speeds allow for the suspension and circulation of particles of different sizes and densities, while a variable power ultrasonic system enables the dispersion of particle agglomerates.
The Mastersizer 2000 measures the particle sizes in the sample and displays their proportions on a computer in a graph. The measurement takes place as the particles pass between the detector array and the laser.
