OctoFrost IQF 7/2 LH tunnel freezer

Well-maintained Octofrost IQF 7/2 LH tunnel freezer operating on ammonia (NH3). IQF stands for Individually Quick Freezing, specially designed for rapid freezing of small food items. This process helps to prevent ice crystal formation in the structure of products such as vegetables, berries, cheese, meat, and fish. The freezer is complete with infeed/outfeed, control panels, evaporators, and a Siemens Simatic panel control system. Products are placed onto the infeed conveyor at a height of approximately 1560 mm. The products are then transported through the Octofrost via a vibratory belt. The belt features a drop section to separate products and remove excess external ice. The belt is approximately 8100 mm long and 850 mm wide. Once the product is frozen to the correct core temperature, it exits at a height of 1250 mm. The freezer has three inspection hatches for checking product quality while it is on the belt.

The OctoFrost is equipped with two NH3 evaporators, ensuring products are frozen to the desired core temperature of -18°C. There are 7 centrifugal fans, each directly driven by an ABB M3AA 132 MB electric motor, specified as: 50 Hz - 11 kW - 1450 rpm - 630 mm diameter. These fans blow air from below through holes in the belt, preventing products from freezing onto the belt. The side panel is extendable for easy inspection and cleaning of the evaporators and fans as needed.

Additionally, the Octofrost comes with the corresponding control cabinet, which features 7 ABB frequency inverters for the conveyors, 3 Key Technology MFS 268 XL frequency inverters for belt vibration, and a Siemens panel for freezer controls.
